Summer Skincare Routine for Glowy, Hydrated & Dewy Skin


Getting your skin super glowy starts within, and your lifestyle habits will significantly impact your skin. You guys know I am skincare obsessed with everything that helps give you that beautiful glow. So in today's blog post, I will go over my current summer skincare routine and everything I use to keep my skin plump, hydrated and happy.


Lifestyle Habits

  1. Drink 2L of water a day (this chic water bottle makes it easy)

  2. Keep a humidifier running day and night- I love this one.

  3. Fish Oil Supplements- not only are they incredible for your brain, but they are an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids, which can improve your skin health. These are my favourites.

  4. Cosmetic Acupuncture

  5. Red Light Therapy



AM Routine

  1. Spray my skin with rose water

  2. Hyaluronic Acid

  3. Eye Cream

  4. Vitamin C

  5. Moisturizer

  6. Face Oil

  7. SPF

As I mentioned above, I do skin cycling, which means the following:

Night 1- Exfoliation

Night 2- Retinol

Night 3- Recover

Night 4- Recover

repeat

Skin cycling is a four-day cycle where you use specific products on different nights throughout the week. It lets your skin get the most out of your evening skincare routine. Doing the same routine every day/night doesn't allow your skin to recover, so you need to cycle through the active ingredients so they don't disrupt your skin's natural barrier and microbiome. I learned all about this from Dr. Whitney Bowe, and it has literally *transformed* my skin.
